Theatre Project: Timon of Athens
In the spring of 2008, Pit Viper Studios was contracted to produce a slew of prop weapons for a black
box production of Timon of Athens.
The message of the futility of war, and man's love of money and all things material is timeless, and just
as applicable today, as when it was written by William Shakespeare.
With that in mind, the studio was tasked with providing a large assortment of weapons from all time
periods and cultures, and even from the future, to showcase the timelessness of Shakespeare's message.
A further requirement was that to better match the feel of the rest of the production, all of the weapons
be painted matte black.
